Go to any List View, here we are in our Calendar List

Click in this input to begin the entry creation process.

Enter details and select "Task", then "Add" to create this task.

Click on the entry you have just created. 

This is still a plain old task. There are no connected entries yet.

This icon represents "Connected Entry" - click to create.

Go through the form to create a new connected (sub) task.

Now in our List, you will see a "Connected Entries (1)" bar. Click to open.

You will see our new sub-task nested within the parent task. Click on this sub-task.

In our entry information, you will see a "Connected Entry" Table. Since this is a child entry, you should note that the table shows the Parent Entry.

Let's check what's happened to our Parent Entry. Click on it.

And here we see that the child(ren) entry are shown in the table.

We can create a connected entry to this connected entry in the same way.

We'll create a Payment entry type to show we can connect different entry types.

Unfolding the connected entries shows the relationships more clearly.

Next we'll show that a parent entry can have more than one child.

Here we have added another child to the parent entry.

We can see all connected entry information in our calendar.

This is a great way to organize related entries and can help clarify relationships between entries to aid project planning or break down large tasks.
